Students majoring in Product Design and Development are prepared for a wide range of job opportunities. Product design and development relies on more than just software. It involves concept generation, material selection, cost considerations, prototyping, tool design, and manufacturing.
Companies successfully competing in the global economy rely heavily on innovation and new product design and development. Product designers will be in demand for areas such as automotive, consumer goods, consumer electronics, aerospace, and furniture.
