Q1 “My company could use some help in manufacturing a new product.
How can we work with the Center?” The first step is to contact
the Center. Based on the nature of your request, a professional staff
member will be assigned to work with you towards a successful solution.
Q2 “I have invented a new product. Can you help me develop and
market it?” CPRD’s staff can assist you with the technical aspects
of product design and manufacture. You may be able to network with
additional EMU resources at the College of Business, or other of EMU’s
numerous resources.
Q3 “We are a small, young company with a limited budget. Can we
afford to work with the Center?” As part of a public institution,
the CPRD costs are relatively low. In fact, the professional services,
equipment and facilities available to you may reduce your product
research and development costs and add to your bottom line.
Q4 “What happens when a small to medium-sized manufacturer seeks
assistance from CPRD?” A project manager will meet with you and
help management focus the project needs. Project managers are experienced
manufacturers with hands-on experience and diverse backgrounds in
plastics, metals and robotics. They are able to provide advice and
services on product design and manufacturing issues.
