  -The Communication, Media & Theatre Arts Department has a leadership role in the annual College of Arts and Sciences Undergraduate Research Symposium -The department is home to the Forensics team which is a consistent regional and national power. -For each Fall and Winter graduation, the department hosts a reception for all its graduates. This is an event where students, friends and family, and faculty can all meet and celebrate the achievements of CMTA graduates. -In recent years numerous CMTA faculty have been recipients of Distinguished Faculty Awards for teaching, scholarly/creative activity, and service. -The CloseUP Theatre Troupe, under the guidance of Gayle LaVictoire, is a model of enhancing and supporting the student experience through performance. |
