| Biography:
|
Teaching in Higher Education since 1990. Recipient of EMU's Alumni Association Teaching Excellence Award in January 2004. Professional experience since 1996 includes acting with various professional theatre companies including Purple Rose Theatre, Michigan Shakespeare Festival, Performance Network, Meadowbrook Theatre, Jewish Ensemble Theatre and Center Repertory Theatre in San Francisco. Directing for EMU mainstage, Purple Rose Theatre and Michigan Shakespeare Festival. Most recent EMU production: Brighton Beach Memoirs. Sample of most recent rewards include: Detroit Free Press Award for Acting Excellence in 2003 and for Necessary Targets at Performance Network Dean Goodman Acting Excellence Award (San Francisco) 2001. Professor Heck Seibert is also a Resident Artist with the Purple Rose Theatre Company.
Service Activities include: Adjudicator for regional one-act play competition, Michigan High School Forensic Competition Instructor/facilitator for acting/audition and Shakespeare workshop at Michigan High Schools Lecturer/Facilitator for Elderwise on the dramatic works of Landford Wilson, Chekhov and Neil Simon Reading mentor and tutor for the Ann Arbor Public Schools.
