Biography:
Ken Stevens came to Eastern in 1973. He co-founded the Showboat Majestic and served as a Rockefeller Fellow at Playhouse in the Park and the University of Cincinnati.

Professor Stevens created EMU's graduate and undergraduate programs in arts management for which he now serves as advisor. He has directed over one hundred musicals and plays at Eastern and for stock and regional theatres. His professional credits include Associate Producer of Cherry County Playhouse in Traverse City, Producer of the Red Barn Theatre in Saugatauk, and Director at Actor's Repertory Theatre in Las Vegas. He is a ten-time recipient of the Faculty Recognition Award and winner of the Gold Medallion Award and the Teaching Innovation Award. Professor Stevens is the past president of the Michigan Theatre Association and the current president of the Michigan Legacy Art Park, a 30-acre sculpture park in Northwest Michigan.
