Biography:
Teaching at EMU since 1996. Interpretation/Performance Studies and voice/speech specialist. Professional experience includes voice/speech/dialect work with such clients as actors, performance artists, comedians, story-tellers, teachers, lawyers, and ESL students. An accomplished performer and stage director, his recent projects include an original adaptation of Christy Brown's Down All The Days, Shakespeare's Measure for Measure, and an original adaptation of D.H.Lawrence's The Fox.

He has served as the Director of Oral Interpretation Activities for the Michigan Intercollegiate Speech League since 1997.
Research Interests:
Research interests concern the theoretical and applied intersections of diverse historical and international performance training. He has presented at conferences for the Association for Theatre in Higher Education, National Communication Association, Central States Communication Association, and the Michigan Association of Speech Comunication.
Teaching Interests:
Voice & Articulation, Dialects, Interpretive Performance of Literature, Shakespeare, Text Analysis, and Critical & Performance Theory.
