Biography
Dr. Ritzenhein began his teaching career as a high school debate and forensics coach in Southfield. Throughout his subsequent 37 years in administration, including 27 in higher education, he continued to teach as an adjunct instructor for Wayne State, University of Detroit-Mercy, Macomb Community College, and, most recently, Eastern Michigan University.

Dr. Ritzenhein is Past President and Executive Secretary of the Michigan Association of Speech Communication, and Past-President of the Michigan Advancement Council, Macomb Negotiators and Wayne State University Alumni Association.

In his free time Dr. Ritzenhein enjoys home brewing, traveling with his wife, Kathy Grenda, and continuing to marvel at the successes and qualities of his adult son, Rob.
