Huifang Shen received her professional ballet training in Shanghai Ballet School. After graduation from the School, she joined Shanghai Ballet Company and became a principal ballerina in the company. Huifang performed western classical ballet as well as Chinese ballet dramas in China and many other countries. After coming to the States, Huifang began to teach ballet. She has taught ballet from the beginning level to advanced level in many schools, including Wayne State University, Center for Creative Studies in Detroit, Truman State University, and others.
