Tamara Wilcox, full-time musician and adjunct faculty for the EMU dance program, holds a bachelor of arts degree in music from Allegheny College. As the dance program musician, she plays for both modern and ballet classes and composes for student and faculty works. As an adjunct faculty member, she teaches a course entitled “Rhythmic Analysis and Dance Accompaniment.” In addition, she serves as faculty advisor to the student dance organization, Dance Forum. She is also responsible for other aspects of the dance program such a sound engineering for productions, the dance program website and the annual Friends of Dance newsletter. Ms. Wilcox is a member of the International Guild of Musicians in Dance and has served as an accompanist for Royal Academy of Dance exams, American College Dance Festivals, the University of Michigan Summer Dance Intensive, EMU musicals and “Summerquest” and the 2003 “All Pointes North” Regional Dance America Festival at Interlochen, MI.
