As part of your on campus living expenses, you will select a meal plan that best matches your lifestyle. These plans allow access to: Dining Commons ONE, Eastern Eateries, CrossRoads MarketPlace, the Student Center and a multitude of other dining facilities located across campus for your convenience.
Traditional Meal Plans
Traditional meal plans provide a number of meals per day and week on an ongoing basis throughout the semester. They offer the benefits of not having to manage money and not running out before the semester ends, however the value at any one meal is limited.
Flex Meal Plans
The flex plans are dining options available to returning residence hall students who live in the EMU residence halls during the previous academic school year and to students with one year or more of transfer credit. Debit account style plans, they offer the flexibility of choosing when to eat and have no preset dollar amount on any meal. You may select the flex plan that best suits your needs (from those offered) as required when signing your housing contract.
Village Residents may select from any of the above plans or the Village/Apartments Flex plan. This flex plan offers a lower starting balance and is not charged the administrative fee. Price: $1118 (annual).
You may wish to see the rates page (new window) to help plan your living and dining expenses.
Eagle Express - meal plan supplement
Eagle Express is a declining balance plan, similar to the flex plans above but with no administrative fee. Students living in the Residence Halls are required to select a meal plan from the traditional and flex plans above. Eagle Express is an optional supplement but can not take the place of a traditional or flex plan.
