Economics Club

The Economics Club is a student organization at Eastern Michigan University that coordinates with the Economics department and members to widen the scope of economic education to outside of the classroom and to help improve the department at-large.

The mission is to provide extra-curricular opportunities to study, work and network in the field of economics and related fields.

Women in Economics Club

The Women in Economic Club (WIE) was established in 2019 with the support of Dr. Amani Rashid. The purpose of the club is to promote women representation in Economics field. The club is open to all male and female students who are pursuing a undergraduate or graduate degree.

During their first year, the club organized meet & greet event, ice cream social, resume workshop, bake sale fundraiser and a seminar co-sponsored with the Department of Economics. 

Omicron Delta Epsilon: ETA Chapter

Omicron Delta Epsilon (ODE) is the honor’s society of the Economics Department (ETA Chapter). The objective of the ODE is to recognize scholastic attainment and honor outstanding achievement in economics. For more information, contact Dr. Mehmet E. Yaya, the faculty advisor for the society.
