The Department of Economics at EMU offers majors and minors in economics with diversified areas of specialization. A major in actuarial science and economics is offered in a joint program with the Mathematics department. The department also participates in other University programs such as language and international trade, area studies offered in the History and Philosophy department, a minor in conservation and resource use in the Biology department, and the Women's Studies program.
