ElderQuest is a new program at EMU designed to
provide a welcoming environment for persons 60 years and older
and to provide these individuals an opportunity to fully participate
in campus programs and activities.
ElderQuest
provides leadership in identifying pathways into the University
community. An important aspect of the ElderQuest program is community
outreach to a group of people who will enhance EMU's diversity
through the infusion of elder participants into all aspects of
University life.
The ElderQuest program has two primary components. One is to offer one-half tuition and a reduction of fees for any one over the age of 65. This includes graduate and undergraduate coursework as well as classes taken on any of the EMU campuses. The second component of the program offers unique service opportunities in various campus based programs and departments.
The success of ElderQuest depends on YOU
and people like you--those who are interested in participating
in life at EMU, taking advantage of the resources here, and contributing
to the richness of community life at Eastern Michigan University.
We also welcome partnership opportunities with community groups
or agencies seeking to integrate the experiences and contributions
of elder adults with others. For more information please call Elizabeth Schuster, program director or Toni Hernalsteen, program graduate assistant at 734-487-0227
