Ann still works diligently as an advocate for persons with special challenges. Ann had a brief stay with the College of Education in the Academic Services Office from December 2004 through August 2004 before coming to the Communication, Media and Theatre Arts Department. In 2001 Ann was nominated by her peers within the Division of Student Affairs and awarded the Gold Medallion Award (Clerical category) for her significant, ongoing contributions to the success of divisional programs, activities and services. Prior to working at EMU Ann worked for several area parishes within the Archdiocese of Detroit as secretary/bookkeeper/business manager. After leaving parish work, Ann created Accounting Concepts; a sole-proprietorship geared toward small business fullcycle bookkeeping and accounting services along with accounting software program and excel program training.
