EMU Theatre holds auditions for students interested in Scholarships and Service Awards.

Auditioning provides the opportunity to be considered for up to $1500 per academic year.

For high school seniors/transfers: December 8, 2012, Quirk Theatre Building

Registration/Check-in: 3:30pm
Warm-ups: 3:45 - 4pm
Auditions: 4pm until completed

Attendance at the EMU Theatre production of ...Snow White is optional
(Show begins at 7pm and running time is approximately 1 hour 45 minutes, including intermission.)

What do I need to prepare?

• Download the Registration Packet here (.PDF)
• Auditionees should prepare 2 contrasting monologues (i.e. classical/modern or comic/serious) not exceeding 90 seconds each (3 minutes total)
• Students intending to do a singing audition should add a minute on to their total time and prepare 16 bars or one verse from a musical selection.
• Technical presentations:
  Tables will be made available for the display of photos, drawings, renderings, models, costumes, etc. that demonstrate a student’s skills in the technical, design and publicity areas. Following a review of display items will be a question and answer session with the adjudicators
