Desperate to keep her dream of stardom alive, overbearing stage mother Mama rose pushes daughters, June and Louise, into the limelight and over the edge. As the curtain begins to rise on Louise and her bittersweet success, Rose must face the end of an era and the demise of her dreams. A musical fable, based on the life story of burlesque entertainer, Gypsy Rose Lee.
