2. Submit your Creative Writing Portfolio and Personal Statement to the English Department: Your creative writing portfolio can represent several short pieces in one genre or several short pieces in multiple genres. Compile 15-20 pages of what you believe is your best work. Your personal statement should be brief (no more than 1-2 pages) and it should explain either your experience with and/or interest in interdisciplinary writing projects, and how you might work across disciplines while you pursue graduate coursework at Eastern Michigan University.
