| Biography:
|
|
A former Bruern Fellow and Visiting Lecturer at the University of Leeds, Professor Duncan has taught at EMU since 1971. His plays and musicals for children, including Jack and the Beanstalk, The Town Mouse and the Country Mouse, and Ancient Echoes: the Myth of Osiris , were produced by Wild Swan Theater and have appeared at the Detroit Institute of Arts' Towsley Auditorium, Henry Ford Museum, and the University of Chicago. In 1978, Professor Duncan was awarded a National Endowment for the Arts Creative Writing Fellowship. Late in 2001, Wild Swan Theater and the O'Hare Irish Dance Studios in Cleveland, Chicago, and southeastern Michigan will produce his children's musical, The Changeling. |
