| Biography:
|
My area of specialization is 20th-Century British and American fiction. I also have a strong interest in crime and mystery fiction. Among my publications are four books — Sons of Sam Spade, John D. MacDonald, The American Private Eye and Elmore Leonard — on the subject. In addition, I've published essays and articles on other 20th century writers.
Beyond my teaching and writing, I have also served as an editorial advisor for Twentieth-Century Crime and Mystery Writers. Since 1987 have served as an editorial advisor for The World Book Encyclopedia, writing, revising, and updating entries on mystery writers for their new editions.
I have been a member of the Honors Program Review Committee. |
