Mock Trial at EMU

The EMU chapter of the American Mock Trial Association participates in events where you argue in feigned civil and criminal court trials, based on procedural rules, rules of law and court precedent. This is a great way to learn to think on your feet and to explore an interest in the law, while making friends and developing great mentoring relationships with faculty members and other professionals.

Students for EcoJustice Education and Activism

The purpose of this nonprofit organization is to bring together students who are passionate about analyzing deep cultural roots of ecological and social crises and work towards reclaiming our cultural and ecological commons. In order to revitalize our commons, which have been devalued by industrialization, they create a space to address these issues using art, activism, discussion, action and education for the holistic sustainability.

Students for EcoJustice Education and Activism

Our approach is multi-pronged. We are interested in educating people about the three pillars of sustainability - planet, people prosperity - and how it relates to universities; educating the EMU campus about what is already going on that is sustainability-related; and bringing together the various stakeholder groups to craft an EMU-specific sustainability mandate.
