Eastern Michigan University
Equality Fellows
The Center for the Study of Equality and
Human Rights announces our Equality Fellows program focused on
the design and development of a project proposal for academic
work focused on LGBT Equality and Human Rights. The final
outcome of participation in the program will be a finished and
implementable proposal for an applied academic research project,
a curriculum innovation project (K-12 or post-secondary), or
a community action, advocacy, and/or improvement project. Six
faculty members will be selected to participate in the Winter 2014
CSEHR Faculty Fellows Program
CSEHR Fellows will participate in a semester-long seminar,
once per week, following a structured curriculum focused on
considerations for conducting research with LGBT populations,
the relationship between academic research and public policy
initiatives, queer pedagogy, and safe schools training.
CSHER Fellows will receive a one course release for the semester
in which they are selected for participation.
