Erin Luyendyk

Interests and Expertise

Erin has been teaching ESL at Eastern since 2011 and she is now the testing and assessment coordinator for the ESL program. She taught academic ESL at Oakland Community College and Wayne State University, where she was also the activities coordinator. She lived in England and also Japan, where she taught English as a foreign language in K-12 public schools.

Erin’s academic research interests center on student achievement and the organizational structure promoting program and student success. She also enjoys researching English for academic purposes, specifically academic writing. In addition, she has a strong interest in the intersection of community collaboration, service learning and English language learning.
