EMU's Explore Eastern program is a great way for high school students and transfer students to learn about EMU and how an EMU education can launch the path to their future.

Why Explore Eastern?
  • LEARN about EMU, and why Eastern is a great place to earn your college degree!
  • SAVE: All students attending Explore Eastern will be able to apply for admission, FREE of charge - a $20 savings.
  • WIN through our random drawing:
    • One high school senior who enrolls at EMU will receive 12 FREE credit hours of in-state equivalent tuition for Fall 2010.
    • One transfer student who enrolls at EMU will receive 6 FREE credit hours of in-state equivalent tuition for Fall 2010.
More benefits of attending Explore Eastern...

High School Seniors: You can get a priority admissions decision. Just bring your official high school transcript in a sealed envelope, and official ACT or SAT scores. We'll let you know how you can become an Eagle! Once you apply, your name will be entered into a drawing to receive 12 credit hours of free in-state equivalent tuition.

Transfer Students: If you apply to EMU at the Explore Eastern event, we will waive the normal application fee, and your name will be entered into a drawing to receive 6 credit hours of free in-state equivalent tuition.

What to expect:

The day begins at EMU's Student Center, and runs from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.:

  • EMU faculty will be available to talk with you about specific majors and academic programs.
  • Deans from each of the colleges will give a brief presentation about the programs available in their colleges.
  • EMU leaders from Housing, Dining, Career Services, Leadership and Involvement, Financial Aid, Scholarships and others will be available to speak with you.
  • Tours of campus, led by a current EMU student, leave every 10 to 15 minutes.
  • You will have the opportunity to see:
    • a classroom building
    • the Bruce T. Halle Library
    • the Olds-Robb Recreation and Intramural Building
    • a residence hall room
  • Your tour guide will be able to answer most university questions.

Your whole family is welcome... bring your parents, siblings, grandparents, friends, spouses... anyone you want.

Parking for Explore Eastern is FREE. We recommend that you park in the Student Center Lot off Oakwood Drive. (Campus Map).
