Elderquest

Eastern Michigan University's ElderQuest is a non-profit program designed to provide a welcoming environment and an opportunity to participate in campus programs and activities for persons 50 years and older.

The ElderQuest program has two primary benefit:

  • Receive a half-off discount on tuition and reduction of fees for ElderQuest members over 65, including undergraduate and graduate courses taken for credit or non-credit at any EMU campus.
  • Get opportunities to be actively involved in EMU through civic engagement.

The success of the ElderQuest program depends on you and people like you—those who are interested in participating in life at EMU, taking advantage campus resources and contributing to the richness of community life at EMU.

To join ElderQuest or renew your membership, bring your application form and $18 yearly membership fee and drop it off at or mail it to the address below.

ElderQuest offers people over the age of 50 the opportunity to participate in EMU’s rich intellectual environment in a variety of ways. 

Tuition Discount

ElderQuest members who are 65 and over qualify for a tuition discount on all EMU courses. If you’re taking a class and have already paid, let us know and we will make sure that the tuition discount is applied.

The tuition discount covers the following:

  • 50% Tuition
  • Registration Fee
  • Student Union Fee
  • Program Fees
  • Orientation Fee
