Los Angeles Fashion Markets

This trip is the fashion experience of a lifetime. Encounter manufacturers, wholesale representatives, designers and retail buyers. Explore the wholesale market showrooms of the California Market Center. Visit the corporate offices of some of the largest retail specialty stores like Roxy/Quicksilver and Hurley. See on-site locations and learn about fashion styling. If production and product development is your area of interest, we'll visit an apparel production facility like American Apparel. Take an exciting tour through the West Coast fashion industry. 

Lodging
You'll stay five nights in a hotel chosen for proximity to sites on the itinerary. Rooms are based on multiple occupancies. Any special room requests must be made at time of registration. 

Program Fee: $1125 (2012) plus tuition and fees. If you're using financial aid, additional assistance may be available for those who qualify. Contact financial aid. 
Includes:

  • Roundtrip airfare on a regular, scheduled air carrier to and from Detroit Metro Airport 
  • Lodging 
  • Local transportation by private shuttle
  • Breakfast daily
  • Venue admission for all required industry appointments

Exclusions:

  • EMU tuition and fees
  • Textbooks (if applicable)
  • Personal expenditures
  • Transportation charges resulting from deviation from printed itinerary.
  • Most meals

This trip begins and ends at Detroit Metro. You are responsible for your own transportation to and from the airport.
