The Faculty Development Advisory Committee (FDAC)
Committee purpose
This Eastern Michigan University Committee serves in an advisory capacity to the Faculty Development Center (FDC) on the vision, strategic plans, needs and programming efforts of the Center.
Roles and Responsibilities are as follows:
- Review FDC operations, including:
- Programs and services
- Administration and leadership
- Budget and resources
- Priorities and directions
- Provide feedback, input and advice on strategic planning decisions, including:
- Priorities for services
- Utilization of funds
- Emphasis in programming
- Envisioning and building for the future
- Advocate for faculty development in
- Departments
- Colleges
- University committees
- Provide expertise in faculty development for
- Programs and workshops
- Individual consultations
- Mentoring programs
Committee Membership - See Current Membership
There is one member each from the library, ICT, Continuing Education and the lecturers. There are six faculty members-one from each college with two from the College of Arts and Sciences. The faculty members are appointed by the University Faculty Council. FDC staff serves as non-voting members, and other members may be appointed by the Provost.
Meeting times will be from 3-5 pm on the 3rd Monday of the month.
