Getting Started

  • Eagle One Card Your EagleOne Card functions as your official University ID card and is your way to access faculty and staff privileges. You can use your EagleOne Card to check out books, enter the Rec/IM building, access campus buildings after-hours, receive local discounts, and more! Visit the Eagle Card Office in 203 Pierce to set up your EagleOne Card and visit their website to activate it.
  • eTraining Portal - The eTraining portal is your way to access online courses, required EMU training courses, and Books 24x7.
  • My.Emich Portal - My.emich is Eastern Michigan University's portal and official form of communication. This is your personal link to EMU resources such as class information, EMU calendar, final grades, and much more. Learn how to navigate the resources available to faculty using the Faculty Reference Guide.

EMU Systems

  • Canvas  - Canvas is a full-fledged course management system that includes options to upload course readings, links, and videos, a gradebook, threaded discussion, live chat, etc. It can be used simply as a parking place for syllabus and course readings, or as the platform for hybrid or online courses. You can reach out to the Center for E-Learning at elearning@emich.edu and additional training and faculty support is also available.
  • Class List Emailing - Instead of typing each student’s email individually when you want to contact the entire class, use these instructions to more easily email the list of registered students.
  • Classroom Technology - Classrooms across campus  have been outfitted with technology allowing for a variety of modes of learning. There are instructions and a how-to video on using media carts, which can be found in many classrooms.
