IT Academic Services
Provides training and support for EagleMail suite (email, calendar, etc.), My.emich, and enterprise applications. IT instructional technologists assist faculty using the my.emich interface to use the "Faculty" tab to email a class, upload syllabus and other documents, submit grades, advise students, etc.

Provides information on EMU's official Mobile app (called EMU Mobile). This app is useful for registering for classes, checking balances, viewing EMU news, grades, and retrieving directions and viewing campus maps.
The Division of I.T. provides a variety of services to the EMU community, and this Service Catalog describes each of these services.
The IT Help desk supports EagleMail, My.Emich, EMU Wireless, university-owned computers, university-licensed software, and ResNet assistance for students living in the residence halls.
In addition to IT support, each college has its own technology support staff that does not report directly to IT. The college technology support staff assist with office and classroom technology, and some non-IT computer labs.
Canvas is the new learning management system (LMS). Canvas is a full-fledged course management system that includes options to upload course readings, links, and videos, a gradebook, threaded discussion, live chat, etc. It can be used simply as a parking place for syllabus and course readings, or as the platform for hybrid or online courses. In May 2015 Canvas replaced eCollege/EMU-Online as the official LMS for online and web-enhanced courses. Limited read-only access to the eCollege system has been extended to June 30, 2016. Over 5500 course have already been migrated from eCollege to Canvas. You can submit additional migration requests to email@example.com. Additional Canvas training and faculty support is also available.
eTraining offers 4,000 online, self-paced, enrichment courses, 6,000 online books, online job aids and online mentoring free to all faculty, students, and staff. Popular courses include Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and access; Adobe Photoshop; Crystal Reports; web Design courses such as Dreamweaver and Flash; Network courses such as Cisco, Unix, Oracle, OSI; IT Certification curriculum and much more. All this is easily accessed with your my.emich username and password.

The library links each faculty member with a library colleague for consultation on collections and instruction, including the creation of class research guides (see "liaison program"). Services also include reference, interlibrary loan, and course reserves.
