
Applying for financial aid at EMU is as simple as completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) All students who complete the FAFSA and have been admitted will be considered for financial aid.
Financial aid is awarded based on family need. To estimate the contribution your family is expected to make you can use the financial aid estimator.
Academic Scholarships
Eastern Michigan University is committed to acknowledging academic achievement through our scholarship program. Scholarship candidates will be selected from the top ranks of admitted freshmen. Academic Scholarships are based solely on merit and not financial need.
The following freshman academic scholarships will be awarded for fall 2007:
- $14,901 - Presidential Scholarship
- $7,682 - Regents Gold
- $3,000
- Regents
- $12,601 - National Scholars
- $2,000
- Recognition of Excellence
These scholarships are renewable annually provided recipients meet renewal requirements.Some awards also include a residential portion which requires recipients to live on-campus to receive full award amount.
