Endowed Scholarships
EMU Endowed Scholarships are awarded
through academic departments, student organizations and the Office
of Financial Aid. Award amounts vary and selections can be based
on academic as well as representative talent within corresponding
department or major. See the Endowed Scholarships by category
section at the bottom of this page for an alphabetical listing
of the specific scholarships by category.
ACADEMIC DEPARTMENTS
The majority of EMU Endowed Scholarships are for students admitted
to a specific program of study. Check the Endowed Scholarships
by category listing at the bottom of this page to determine the
department responsible for selecting the scholarship recipients.
Students should contact the academic departments directly to learn
about specific application processes.
STUDENT ORGANIZATIONS
EMU students should contact Student Organizations directly for
information on scholarship programs and selection processes. Organizations
will advise you on scholarship availability, requirements and
application deadlines.

OFFICE OF FINANCIAL AID
Incoming Students
The Office of Financial Aid will automatically consider incoming
freshmen admitted by Feb. 15 and new transfer students admitted
by May 15 for endowed scholarships. No additional application
is required.
Fall Semester Returning Students
Students returning to
EMU in the fall semester should complete the University Scholarship
Application each year for consideration. The University Scholarship
Application is available late October each year and due the last
working day in January.
Winter Semester Admitted Students
The "Winter Admit" University Scholarship Application
for incoming freshmen or transfer students admitted to begin in
a winter semester at EMU are available beginning Feb. 15 and due
the last working day in April.
