Presidential Scholarship (December 1, 2007 and December 8, 2007)
Only available to incoming freshmen who have competed in the Presidential Scholarship Competition.
This four-year award pays for 30 credit hours per year of in-state tuition each year. (Valued at at $14,901 for the 2007-2008 year) Freshmen recipients must live in University housing the first two years of this award. Students must maintain a 3.5 grade point average (GPA) and complete 15 credits a semester to renew this scholarship. Only available to incoming freshmen who have competed in the Presidential Scholarship Competition and earned one of the top 40 test scores. Students eligible to compete will have a minimum grade point average (GPA) of a 3.7 and qualifying test score. See chart.

Regents-Gold Scholarship Four-year award that pays for 30 credit hours of in-state tuition each year. (Valued at at $7,682 for 2007-2008). Freshmen recipients must live in University housing the first two years of this award. Students must maintain a 3.5 grade point average (GPA) and complete 15 credits a semester to renew this scholarship. Only available to incoming freshmen who have competed in the Presidential Scholarship Competition.
Regents Scholarship
Four-year award that pays $3,000 each year. Recipients living in University housing are eligible for an addtional $1,000 award. Freshmen must have a minimum high school GPA of 3.70 with a 25 ACT or 1150 SAT to be considered. New transfer and current EMU students must have a minimum 3.70 cumulative GPA to be considered.To renew this scholarship, students must maintain a 3.5 cumulative GPA and complete 15 credit hours per semester.
Recognition of Excellence Scholarship
Four-year award that pays $2,000 per year. Recipients living in University Housing are eligible for an additional $1,000. Freshmen must have a minimum high school GPA of 3.50 with a 21 ACT or 1000 SAT to be considered. New transfer and current EMU students must have a minimum 3.50 cumulative GPA to be considered. To renew this scholarship students must maintain a 3.3 GPA. Students must be admitted by March 1 to be considered for this award.
Out-Of-State Scholarships (for students from states other than Michigan or Ohio)
National Scholars Program for students from states other than Michigan or Ohio who have a 3.0 GPA with a 20 ACT or 950 SAT. This award pays the out of state difference for 30 credit hours per year (currently valued at $12601 per year). This is a four year award. The renewal criteria is 3.0 cumulative grade point average.
Eagle Scholarship
Four year award that pays $1,500 per year to first time freshmen who have a minimum high school GPA of 3.00 and 20 ACT or 950 SAT score. Students must be admitted by March 1 and maintain a 2.75 EMU GPA to renew.
