Regents Scholarship
Award amount of $3,000 per year. Award may be received a maximum of three years, depending on entering class level.
Minimum requirements for consideration include a 3.7 cumulative transfer grade point average(GPA) and 30 transferable credit hours.
Requires 15 credit hours of enrollment per semester for payment and a 3.5 EMU GPA to renew.
New transfer students who are admitted by May 15th for fall and November 15th for winter are automatically considered through their admission application.
Recognition of Excellence Scholarship
Award amount of $2,000 per year. Award may be received a maximum of three years, depending on entering class level.
Minimum requirements for consideration include a 3.5 cumulative transfer grade point average(GPA) and 30 transferable credit hours.
Requires 12 credit hours of enrollment per semester for payment and a 3.3 EMU GPA to renew.
New transfer students who are admitted by May 15th for fall and November 15th for winter are automatically considered through their admission application.
Transfer Scholarship
One time award of $1,000 for full-time enrolled students.
Part-time students receive a prorated award. Minimum requirements for consideration include a 3.0 cumulative transfer grade point average(GPA) and 30 transferable credit hours.
New transfer students who are admitted by May 15th for fall and November 15th for winter are automatically considered through their admission application. Students must be enrolled in 12 credits to be eligible for the full award. The award will be prorated for 1/2 and 3/4 enrollment.
Leadership Award
Award of $1,000 for full-time enrolled students.
Award based on volunteer commitments and Service to EMU and community. Preference to student leaders in Housing.
Campus Housing Award
Award amount of $1,000. Recipients of Regents, Recognition of Excellence, Transfer Scholarship, or Leader Award who live in EMU Residence Halls are eligible for this award.
Departmental Endowed Scholarships
Awards are made by academic departments based on GPA, career goals and other criteria determined by private donors.
Students are encouraged to contact the departments of their planned major for more information and application timelines
National Scholars Program for students from states other than Michigan or Ohio who have a 3.0 GPA with at least 30 transferable hours. This award pays the out of state difference for 30 credit hours per year (currently valued at $12601 per year). Transfer Student must have 30 transferred credit hours to be considered for this award.The renewal criteria is 3.0 cumulative grade point average.
