Eastern Michigan University
Stafford Loan Entrance Counseling
Students who borrow Stafford loans for the first time at Eastern Michigan University are required to complete entrance counseling before their loan funds can be released. Once your financial aid file is complete, and you have accepted your loans, and you have enrolled at least half time, you will be notified in writing and/or by email via my.emich that you can complete entrance counseling and sign a Master Promissory Note (MPN).
If you have any questions as you complete the Stafford Loan requirements, you may contact The Office of Financial Aid at 734.487.0455, or click on the "contact EMU" button at the bottom of each page.
If you would like to obtain information on any past or current loans and grants, you can do so by accessing information from the National Student Loan Data System at www.nsldsfap.ed.gov
