Winter art gallery lineup provides diversity for campus

By Heather Hamilton

Eastern Michigan University's 2009 winter art series can be summed up in one word: diversity. From an exhibition full of comics to a performance examining the feminist view and a lecture looking at art appreciation, there is something for everyone this year.

"We are all over the road map," said Larry Newhouse, gallery program director. "The diversity will be very entertaining and educational."

The Art Faculty Exhibition will be the first feature in the winter art series. This annual event showcases the artwork of both full and adjunct faculty members, and will be on display from Jan. 5 through Feb. 12 at University Gallery. A reception will be Wednesday, Jan. 7, 4-6 p.m.
