  • Keeping EMU networks secure: The EMU Division of Information Technology (IT) Policy Committee hosts a town hall meeting Tuesday, Jan. 27, 8-9:30 a.m., room 300, Halle Library. This open forum discussion is designed to answer questions about proposed information technology policy, 6.4 secure network equipment. The proposed policy reiterates and formalizes the long-standing duty and authority of IT to protect EMU electronic networks. A draft of the proposed policy can be viewed at https://it.emich.edu/policy under the section "proposed policies." For questions, call Arnold Barr, 487-2630, or e-mail him at abarr@emich.edu
  • Accreditation survey: The Office of Continuous Improvement and Planning is currently conducting a survey of EMU faculty, staff and students regarding key issues that the University currently faces. The next task is for campus leadership to determine which of these key issues is of greatest urgency, and develop plans for addressing those most urgent issues. The survey is simple to complete and will require 10 minutes or less to respond, via Survey Monkey, using the link: http://www.surveymonkey.com/s.aspx?sm=JIhmQ0A2GFO1RhWLvkZbQQ_3d_3d All responses will remain anonymous.
