Bernice Lindke has been named to the position of vice
president for student affairs and enrollment management
for Eastern Michigan University.
"We conducted a national search that produced a very strong
group of candidates and finalists. This vice president
position is critical to Eastern's future and I look forward
to working with Bernice Lindke," said EMU President Susan
Martin.

"I am delighted to have the opportunity to continue to
serve our students, faculty and staff at Eastern Michigan
University as the vice president for student affairs and
enrollment management," said Lindke "Having just merged
two divisions into one, I look forward to building on the
work underway to make Eastern an even more student centered,
welcoming campus."
Lindke has more than 17 years of experience in administrative
positions within higher education. While at Eastern Michigan,
she has served as director of financial aid, associate
vice president for enrollment services, interim vice president
for enrollment management and interim vice president for
student affairs. She was named interim vice president for
student affairs and enrollment management in May 2008.
Prior to joining Eastern Michigan in 1981, Lindke worked
as a contract manager and senior accountant in the local
government sector.
She is active in community organizations usch as the American
Red Cross Blood Raising Committee, the America Heart Association's
Start Heart Walk, the Forum Club and the Michigan Prisoner
Reentry Initiative Advisory Committee.
Lindke has a bachelor's degree in business administration
and a master's degree in public administration, both from
Eastern Michigan University.
