QUIET TIME: The third floor of Halle
Library has been designated as a quiet
floor for the winter term.
|
- Halle Library offers quiet floor: In response to student feedback for more quiet study space, the entire third floor of the Bruce T. Halle Library has been designated as a "quiet study floor" during winter semester. The quiet study floor is intended for individual study. There should be minimal talking and no audible electronic devices. Cell phones and pagers should be set to vibe. Laptop users should use earphones to minimize noise if their research includes audio or video resources. Occasional talking will not be considered disruptive, but groups looking to work together should seek out the library's second floor. This is the place for small group study and consultation where normal conversations are permitted as appropriate for collaboration and small group discussion. Large groups should use the Group Study Rooms located on both the second and third floors of the library. For more information, contact Elaine Logan, 487-0020 (ext. 2222) or via e-mail at elogan1@emich.edu.
