Eastern Michigan University's involvment with charter schools in the state
of Michigan recently reached its 10th anniversary. The Charter Schools
Office at EMU was created as part of the former University Relations in
fall 1995. By June 1996, EMU's first two charter schools were approved
by the Board of Regents. Current enrollment at EMU's eight charter schools
is as follows:
