"To say that I look forward to working with you in
the interest of the University's progress would be nothing
short of a gross understatement," said EMU President
John Fallon during his report at the Jan. 19 Board of Regents
meeting. "Your presence here, coupled with your new
personnel appointments and strong institutional aspirations
and expectations, suggests that this is a new day for this
University...that our time is now. And you have my full
and complete pledge, and that of my colleagues, to do anything
and everything I can to both assist you in your policy
and oversight role, and provide focused and strategic administrative
leadership of the institution."
The other members of the EMU Board of Regents are Tom
Sidlik (chair), a member of the Board of Management
of DaimlerChrysler AG; Philip Incarnati, the CEO of McLaren
Health Care Corp. in Flint; and Roy Wilbanks (vice chair),
former vice president of University Relations at EMU. — Ron
