Thomas Sidlik, a member of the Board of Management of
DaimlerChrysler AG, was elected chair of the Eastern Michigan
University Board of Regents Friday at its regular meeting
Jan. 19.
Roy E. Wilbanks, former president and CEO of the EMU Foundation,
was elected vice chair of the board.

Sidlik, of Ann Arbor, was appointed to the Board in 2004.
He served as the vice chair since 2005.
Wilbanks, of Ypsilanti, was appointed to the Board in
December 2004. Wilbanks serves as chair of the Athletic
Affairs Committee.
Board bylaws provide that the chair and the vice chair
are limited to one, two-year term. The next election will
be in 2009.
Janice Stroh, EMU's vice president for business and finance,
was appointed treasurer to the board. Jackie Kurtz was
appointed secretary to the Board. Rehmann Robson of Jackson
was renamed as the University's internal auditor.
