- President for a Day
applicants sought: President for a Day
is a one-day exchange program that creates a unique
learning opportunity for one EMU student and EMU
President John Fallon. Each will reverse their roles
for a day and gain valuable insight into the everyday
experiences of a typical student and the University's
leader. Exposure to these different perspectives
will expand networks, stimulate empathy, generate
ideas and facilitate greater understanding of the
strengths, weaknesses and opportunities of the institution.
For more information and an application, go to www.emich.edu/campuslife/president or
call 487-3045. The application deadline is Friday
Feb. 10. The actual event is scheduled March 7.
- Call for Teaching
Excellence nominations: EMU's
Alumni Association is beginning the selection process
to determine professors who will be honored at the
16th Annual Teaching Excellence Awards. Please help
us identify faculty members who have most impacted
students during their years at Eastern Michigan by
submitting a nomination. You may review criteria
and download an application at www.emich.edu/alumni/awards/tea.
When nominating, please provide a complete application
and a letter of nomination. Additional letters of
support also are welcome. Please forward your nomination
to the Office for Alumni Relations, 1349 S. Huron
