LIKE A ROCK:
A number of former All-American
wrestlers for Eastern Michigan University
turned out for the dedication of the Dean
L. Rockwell Wrestling Facility Jan. 21. At
the conclusion of the dedication, the wrestlers
paid tribute by touching the
bronze sculpture of a rock created in honor
of Rockwell, a
1935 graduate and former wrestler. Rockwell,
who died in 2005 at age 93, made
a significant contribution that allowed for
Gymnasium A in the Warner Building to be
renovated into a wrestling facility.
