HALLOWED COMPANY: The E-Club Athletic Hall of Fame inducted four former athletes , three coaches and a sports physician during a ceremony at the Stadium Club Feb. 11. Those inducted are (above, from left) Dan Schmitz (baseball); Sara Seegers (softball); Wally Roeser (chief orthopedic specialist); Dan Boisture (football coach); Harold Simons (basketball and later men's basketball and men's golf coach); Tommy Asinga (track and field); and Gene Morningstar, who accepted the plaque on behalf of his father, the late Harold Morningstar (track and field). Former basketball coach Ben Braun was not present, but was inducted last November when his University of California team came to town to take on the EMU Eagles in a basketball game.
