QUILT: Kate Anderson,
a graduate assistant in the Women and Gender
Studies program at EMU, displays the tools
of quilting at the Student Center lobby March
12. Anderson, of Port Huron, was one of a
number of participants who received a pre-cut
piece of fabric on which they could paint,
glue or stitch representations of themselves.
All quilt blocks created will be used to
create a larger quilt that is a diverse expression
of what it means to be a woman. The event,
hosted by Linda S. Anderson, owner of Sew
Elegant Quilt Shoppe, was part of Women's
History Month on campus.
