Marie Dellas, a professor of psychology
at Eastern Michigan University from 1969 to 1992, died
March 1. She was 84.

After retiring from EMU, Dellas became a member of the
Women's Council and a docent of the Cleveland Museum of
Art. She also endowed two scholarships to the University
of Buffalo.
Survivors include a brother, Ernest Dellas; two sisters,
Demitra Xinakes and Elenie Basil; four nephews,
Ted Dellas, Tom Dellas, Bill Basil and Mark Dellas; four
nieces, Katie Marrone, Kathy Beder, Janice Harris and Susan
Schmiedicker; and many great-nieces and great-nephews.
A funeral took place March 4 at Saints Constantine and
Helen Greek Orthodox Cathedral in Cleveland Heights, Ohio.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to
the Cathedral Philoptochos Society or the American Heart
Association.
Haydee Cabrera, a former assistant professor
in the library at Eastern Michigan University from
1966 to 1988, died during March. Cabrera's wishes were
to not have her exact date of death published.
"I worked with her for all of the time she was at Eastern.
Haydee was a delightful colleague who loved working with
the students and was involved with University organizations
and activities," said Joanne Hansen, a maps librarian at
EMU.
Cabrera came to Eastern Michigan University in 1966 and
worked as an assistant professor in the library. She retired
in 1988 after 22 years of service. Cabrera was an active
member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church Altar
Society and a member of the Ann Arbor City Women's Club.
Survivors include a sister-in-law, JoAnn Cabrera, of Ann
Arbor; 11 nieces and nephews, and 24 great-nieces and great-nephews.
A funeral service takes place Saturday, March 28, 10 a.m.,
at St. Thomas Church in Ann Arbor. In lieu of flowers,
memorial contributions may be made to Glacier Hills Memorial
Care Fund or St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church.
Kennedy McIntosh, a former basketball player at Eastern
Michigan University from 1967-1971, died March 6. He was
60.

McIntosh remains EMU's career leader with 2,219 points
and 1,426 rebounds. He is the only EMU player to have more
than 1,000 rebounds. He also is one of two players to reach
the 2,000-point mark. The University retired McIntosh's
number 54 jersey in 2006. He is the third player to receive
that honor.
McIntosh was selected in the first round of the 1971 NBA
draft by the Chicago Bulls. He played for the Bulls for
two season before joining the Seattle SuperSonics. McIntosh
retried from the NBA in 1975 due to injuries.
Survivors include two daughters, Kourtney and Kai; a
son, Kevin; a godson, Sean Higgins; six grandchildren,
two sisters, one brother, and many nieces, nephews and
cousins.
A memorial service took place March 14 in Los Angeles,
Calif. A memorial service in Michigan is scheduled Saturday,
