After retiring from EMU, Dellas became a member of the Women's Council and a docent of the Cleveland Museum of Art. She also endowed two scholarships to the University of Buffalo.

Survivors include a brother, Ernest Dellas; two sisters, Demitra Xinakes and Elenie Basil;   four nephews, Ted Dellas, Tom Dellas, Bill Basil and Mark Dellas; four nieces, Katie Marrone, Kathy Beder, Janice Harris and Susan Schmiedicker; and many great-nieces and great-nephews.

A funeral took place March 4 at Saints Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Cathedral in Cleveland Heights, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the Cathedral Philoptochos Society or the American Heart Association.

Haydee Cabrera, a former assistant professor in the library at Eastern Michigan University from 1966 to 1988, died during March. Cabrera's wishes were to not have her exact date of death published.

"I worked with her for all of the time she was at Eastern. Haydee was a delightful colleague who loved working with the students and was involved with University organizations and activities," said Joanne Hansen, a maps librarian at EMU.

Cabrera came to Eastern Michigan University in 1966 and worked as an assistant professor in the library. She retired in 1988 after 22 years of service. Cabrera was an active member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church Altar Society and a member of the Ann Arbor City Women's Club.

Survivors include a sister-in-law, JoAnn Cabrera, of Ann Arbor; 11 nieces and nephews, and 24 great-nieces and great-nephews.

A funeral service takes place Saturday, March 28, 10 a.m., at St. Thomas Church in Ann Arbor. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Glacier Hills Memorial Care Fund or St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church.

Kennedy McIntosh, a former basketball player at Eastern Michigan University from 1967-1971, died March 6. He was 60.

McIntosh remains EMU's career leader with 2,219 points and 1,426 rebounds. He is the only EMU player to have more than 1,000 rebounds. He also is one of two players to reach the 2,000-point mark. The University retired McIntosh's number 54 jersey in 2006. He is the third player to receive that honor.

McIntosh was selected in the first round of the 1971 NBA draft by the Chicago Bulls. He played for the Bulls for two season before joining the Seattle SuperSonics. McIntosh retried from the NBA in 1975 due to injuries.

Survivors include two daughters, Kourtney and Kai; a son, Kevin; a godson, Sean Higgins; six grandchildren, two sisters, one brother, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

A memorial service took place March 14 in Los Angeles, Calif. A memorial service in Michigan is scheduled Saturday, April 4, at noon. For more information, e-mail ladelfosse@aol.com.
