CELEBRATING 160 YEARS IN WRITING: As part of Eastern Michigan University's celebration of its 160th anniversary, an essay contest, "How I Make Education First in My Life," took place on campus. Winners were: Alisha Adleman (center), "How I Make Education First in My Life," first place; Jose Cosme II (left), "Everything," second place; and Brittany Buckthorpe (right), "Education First," third place. Each winner received a $160 gift certificate from the EMU Bookstore.
