AFRICAN TRADITION: Mady Kouyate, a griot or western African singer/storyteller, plays a 21-string kora to complement poetic verses iin room 300 of the Student Center April 16. The musical performance was part of a unit lesson on "The Oral Tradition of Africa" for the "AAS 202: African Civiilization" course.
