RETURN
TO EARN: Bernie Boisvert
(above, middle), a sophomore in standing
at EMU who just returned from duty with the
Army, looks through a Washtenaw Community
College (WCC) publication with Rebecca Suggitt
(left), an EMU alumnae. Boisvert is interested
in pursuing a career that involves machinery.
Julie Killich, a recruiter in WCC's Office
of Admissions, also is pictured. Eastern
Michigan's Career Services Center hosted
the event, which was designed to assist
displaced workers, including making sure
their resumes, interviewing skills and
job search strategies were in line with
the expectations and standards employers
are currently seeking. Nearly 60 persons
attended the event at the Student Center
April 29 and more than 40 resumes were
critiqued, said Sarah Kersey Otto, director
of EMU's Career Services Center. Photo
