The Department of Education has released to Eastern Michigan
University an e-mail copy of its initial report regarding
the Laura Dickinson murder investigation. The 18-page report
was distributed to the EMU Regents July

mail.
Due to the report's detailed findings, the Board of Regents
and EMU President John A. Fallon, III, will carefully review
and discuss the report before making public comments.
"By making this report immediately available, we are continuing
our commitment to total transparency," said Regent James
Stapleton, chair of the subcommittee that oversaw the Butzel
Long investigation on behalf of the Board of Regents.
