Eastern Michigan University recently announced a marketing
partnership with Ann Arbor Radio. The agreement involves
radio stations W4Country (102.9 WWWW-FM), Ann Arbor's 107.1
(WQKL-FM) and Sports Talk 1050 (WTKA-AM).
WEMU (89.1 FM) will continue to be the flagship station
for broadcasts of football, and men's and women's basketball
games.

"The Eastern Michigan University Department of Athletics
is proud to partner with Ann Arbor Radio as they have established
themselves as the premiere radio group for our region," said
EMU Director of Athletics Derrick Gragg. "Additionally,
we are particularly excited that Ann Arbor Radio has made
the commitment in bringing local, live entertainment and
building a strong fan base with their listening audience.
We look forward to providing both our local and surrounding
communities and alumni with affordable, quality entertainment
for families of all ages."
As part of the agreement, WTKA airs a Sunday morning
program featuring EMU coaches and student athletes. The
program, entitled "Green Eggs and Coffee," airs from 9-10
a.m. every Sunday. EMU's Brian Nemerovski and WTKA's Josh
Vernier host the show. A replay of the program can be heard
every Monday night from 6-7 p.m.
Vernier also hosts "The Eagle Eye Report," a three-minute
feature on EMU student-athletes. This feature began Aug.
29 and airs every Tuesday at 11 a.m.
"We are impressed with the direction that Eastern Michigan
University's athletics is headed," said Ann Arbor Radio
VP/General Manager Bob Bolak. "We're thrilled to assist
them in promoting their programs and being part of the
excitement."
W4 Country's Kristen White, an EMU alumna, hosts halftime
entertainment at EMU football games. She also will host
the halftime entertainment at EMU's men's and women's basketball
games for 2006-07.
Ann Arbor's 107.1 will host a Homecoming Concert Series
at a football game this fall. The time and date have not
yet been announced.
